LIVE zoom workshop Tuesday 10th June at 2.30pm BST (UK time) - 9.30am EST
This will be my first workshop where I talk about flowers! Watercolour was made for flowers and there are so many different ways of interpreting them. Will will start the session by looking at how to paint in a loose, free way and move towards even more abstraction as the session progresses. I will briefly talk about flower artists I admire and we will use a reference photo for at least one of the paintings.
No need for a zoom account, you will be emailed a link prior to the session.
Here is a list of materials you will need, at least a week before the session I will add the colours that I expect to use in the session. However, if you have a reasonable collection of watercolours there will be no need to buy any more.
1) Some good quality watercolour paper. I use Arches cold pressed fine grain paper but any medium/ fine textured paper is fine.
A variety of paper/ sketchbooks would be handy. It's ok if you only have loose paper and sometimes this is easier with wet in wet because of drying times!
2) A variety of watercolour brushes (at least a medium size brush for large strokes).
3) Low tack masking tape.
3) Fine blade/ scalpel
6) Watercolour colours: TBC
7) A hairdryer (may or may not be needed)
You can turn on your camera or not whichever works for you. I will be delighted to receive any images of artwork via email after the workshop ends along with any questions you might have. I will also be giving feedback during the workshop to anyone who wants to share their work during the session.
The session will not be recorded. I understand if you need to cancel as other commitments can come up! Please let me know 48 hours before the start time for a full refund. After this I will issue a credit note to anyone who needs to cancel which you can use for a future zoom workshop or pre-recorded workshop.
Maximum 8 people.
If you like the idea of a workshop but are unable to attend I have a few pre-recorded workshops available here: https://annamabellaedgleycourses.teachable.com/l/products?sortKey=created_at&sortDirection=asc&page=1
