LIVE zoom workshop 18th March at 2.30pm GMT (UK time) - 9.30am EST

Do you want to learn more about the watercolour medium aquapasto and how it can be used to add texture and interests to semi abstract watercolour landscapes?

Join me in this live zoom session where we will create something similar to this You Tube demonstration:

After this if time we will work on another landscape where we put down the aquapasto with a brush.

No need for a zoom account, you will be emailed a link prior to the session.

Here is a list of materials you will need, a week before the workshop I may update the materials list but it will not vary hugely from the following:

1) Some good quality watercolour paper. I use Arches cold pressed fine grain paper but any medium/ fine textured paper is fine.
A variety of paper/ sketchbooks would be handy but not essential.

2) A variety of watercolour brushes.

3) Low tack masking tape.

3) Fine blade/ scalpel (optional)

6) Watercolour colours:

First Demo: Paynes Grey, Burnt Umber or Burnt Sienna, Titanium White or White Gouache and a bright blue such as Phthalo Blue

Possible Second Demo (If time) Burnt Sienna or Burnt Umber, Winsor Lemon (or other yellow), and French Ultra Marine (or other blue)

7) Aquapasto (I use Winsor and Newton but there are other brands)

7) A hairdryer.

8) Palette knife or a stiff (non watercolour) brush (to apply aquapasto)

If we have time we will explore other colours, and you are welcome to use a completely different colour palette if you prefer.

You can turn on your camera or not whichever works for you. I will be delighted to receive any images of artwork via email after the workshop ends along with any questions you might have. I will also be giving feedback during the workshop to anyone who wants to share their work during the session.

The session will not be recorded. I understand if you need to cancel as other commitments can come up! Please let me know 48 hours before the start time for a full refund. After this I will issue a credit note to anyone who needs to cancel which you can use for a future zoom workshop or pre-recorded workshop.

Maximum 8 people. Please note I have increased this from 6.
